Quilcene Lantern

The Quilcene Lantern was seeking a brand identity that would make their venue an anchor for the burgeoning cultural community on the Hood Canal in western Washington. We worked to establish a visual language as bold, warm, and welcoming as a lantern in the gathering Pacific Northwest evening.

The logo form was inspired by Lysichiton americanus, the local Swamp Lantern.
